Chat used to appear behind an inventory window whether you were in the player inventory or a chest/workstation inventory so that you would know somebody had sent a message or someone was trying to sleep. However that’s no longer the case. We can only see chat when we press the button to open chat or as long as we’re not in an inventory when somebody posts a chat. This definitely needs fixing as we should always be able to see chat.
