The durability bar of used tools simply does not display at all when the classic UI profile is enabled. It affects all inventory pages (inventory, chest UI, crafting table UI, trading UI, etc.). The only place where the durability bar displays is the hotbar when not interacting with anything.

The pocket UI profile is unaffected by this issue. Had this occur on all devices with Minecraft Bedrock edition.
