Its happened twice in a row where I lost an enchanted diamond sword or enchanted netherite pickaxe because when I got killed a zombie would pick it up, and only when resapwnijg a few blocks away and returning for my things emedietly the item and the zombie that picked it up were now gone, giving me no chance to even fight to get my item back.
