When I was playing last night, I had to do something. I hit the quit key while a skeleton was dealing damage that must've been fatal. My world has keepInventory enabled and when i joined today, my inventory was gone. I can see how leaving while the game is registering damage could mess it up and i didn't lose much other than a diamond shovel and an inventory of sand, iron, and a diamond.
