When the deferred lighting is on, the game has a chance of forgetting to render certain blocks or parts of entities.
In case it's hardware specific: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 ti, Intel Core i7 7700K, 32 GB DDR4 RAM
I have an example of an unrendered torch in the attachments.
Edit: It seems like it renders in some chunks, but doesn't in others.
