When an item’s hitbox is partially inside a water source block and partially in a block space that is not a water source, the item doesn’t float upwards. Instead it will fall as though affected by gravity.

This causes items to get stuck in certain farm collection systems. For example, a kelp farm. It does not occur in Java edition.

See attached video for example and steps to reproduce.

Expected behaviour: The kelp item which gets stuck should float upwards because it is partially inside the water source block, as evidenced by the fact it doesn’t fall off the edge of the glass block beneath the water source.

Observed behaviour: The kelp item gets stuck because it is acting as though affected by gravity, despite its hitbox partially intersecting the water source.
