Steps to reproduce:
- Go into survival mode: /gamemode survival
- Ensure you have all recipes unlocked: /recipe give @s *
- Obtain and place down a crafting table
- Ensure that your recipe book toggle is set to All
- In the recipe book, search for "stone". Note the amount of results you get
- Now switch into creative mode: /gamemode creative
- In the recipe book, search for "stone". Note the amount of results you get
Observed result:
There are far fewer results in Survival and Creative mode (e. g. lodestone is missing in the search results in Survival mode, but present in Creative mode). This makes searching feel unintuitive in Survival mode.
Expected result:
All blocks/items with a recipe that were present in the search results in Creative mode are present in the search results in Survival mode.
Original description:
When I use the search in the work bench it works only if I know the complete search string or the beginning of the searched topic.
If I know only the last part od the search string, there will be found nothing.
E.g. I want to find the recipe of a boat:
When I insert "boot" (German version of boat) I get no result
When I insert the whole word "Fichtenboot" (= boat made of spruce) I get a result.
When I insert the first part of the word (e. g. Fichte" I get a lot of results.
But I need the substring search for all possible alternatives: search string at the beginning / in the middle/ at the end of the searched item. In the example above I expect all possible versions of "boot" (=boat)
Add. info: it worked in the past when I started playing Minecraft (one or two years ago)
