As the title suggests, the Select Button (or most commonly known as the Minus Button) on the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and Joy-Con does not function when playing on Minecraft. This is an aggravating problem that I had for over a year now, as the Minus button is used to see all mob/potion effects and accepting play invites in-game. Every other app on iOS/iPadOS is able to detect the Minus button being clicked (obviously applications that do support the select button).
Steps to Reproduce (in the main menu):
- Connect a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (or Joy-Cons) to an iOS/iPadOS device
- Launch Minecraft
- Go to Settings > Controller
- Try re-mapping a control by clicking on it
- Click the Minus button
or
- Click the Minus button when receiving a play invite or a Realm server invitation (with the Minus button being mapped to the Open Notifications/Mob Effects toggle)
Steps to Reproduce (in a world):
- Open a world
- Apply any GUI visible effect through potions, arrows, or the '/effect' command
- Click the Minus button to see if it opens up the Mob Effects GUI (make sure that the Select button[Minus button] is mapped to the Open Notifications/Mob Effects toggle.
Observed Results:
The Minus button does not do anything at all and is not detected when clicked in the game. I am unable to open invitations and open the Mob Effects list.
Expected Results:
The Minus button works as expected, and is detected when clicked. I am able to open invitations and open the Mob Effects list.
