      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Put the game into the background
      2. Enter another app
      3. Return to the game

      Observed result:
      The game glitches out with rapid diagonal flashes, as seen in the video: HnVideoEditor_2024_08_24_140232369.mp4

      Expected result:
      The game does not glitch out.
