Whenever I try trading with a villager the menu comes up as usual, but the text telling you what item it is does not appear. This only applies too trades that are locked (example: I'm trying to reroll a librarian villagers trades to have mending at level 2 apprentice, the book shows up on the trade menu but I can't see what book they have)
