Running on an HP Omen laptop, WIndows 11, Intel Core i7-4650HX, 16 core
with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU
Windows and NVIDIA driver all updated to latest versions
Symptom:
When System>Display>Graphics>Minecraft is set to High Performance (GPU:NVIDIA), Minecraft Bedrock will not start. Upon launch, it briefly flashes the Mojang Studios text, then hangs on the red screen (see attached screen capture). This occurs whether launching from the Minecraft Launcher or starting the Bedrock Edition directly.
If I change System>Display>Graphics>Minecraft to Power Saving (Integrated Intel graphics), then Minecraft Bedrock works normally (although a bit laggy as expected with integrated graphics). In other words, the problem is related to an interaction between Minecraft and the NVIDIA GPU.
The Minecraft Java edition does NOT experience this issue. It works just fine with the NVIDIA GPU.
Likewise, all other apps/games are working normally with the NVIDIA GPU. The problem only occurs with Minecraft Bedrock.
