My laptop can handle 48 chunks with mostly no problem at all(mostly because there is another issue with chunk loading, I've made a separate thread for). However the amount of frames per second drops down to ~30 at 56 chunks, and it stays constant. I've tested this on worlds filled with trees, with deserts, flat worlds, and yet none of those factors impact performance in any way. It just stays the way it is.
