If you can somehow see this...

I just #BrainFarted it says play online with up to 4 other friends God the issues why don't I triple check?

So if you navigate to. Play >(Worlds) Create New > ? it says that a private world can have a maximum of 4 players. How ever after if you go to the friends tab it will show that a world can actually have up to 5 players I even tested this and yes, it can have 5 players. So either the devs lowered it to 4 and didn't change the code for it to be 4 or it is typo.
