I'm trying to build a villager trading hall. I built a villager breeder following the design where the "village" is above farm ground and two villagers farm and breed. Then using trap doors the baby villagers walk off the edge and you can transport them from there. The problem is that the villagers stop breeding after they have 5 babies bringing the villager count to 8.

I found another bug report saying that the Y value is ignored to a distance of 80 blocks so I dug down 80 and dropped the babies down but still no breeding action. So I started worrying about the X and Z. I had to get a villager 128 blocks away before the others started breeding again. As long as I get the babies 128 blocks away and keep the villagers count under 8 they will continue to breed.
