Earlier this year the XBox One console allowed you to link/assign an XBox User Profile to a specific controller. When you powered on the console, but were not the primary user account - both the primary user and your account were automatically logged into the console. When you hit the "Play Game" button on the XBox One Minecraft Edtion, the user profile assigned to that controller was automatically selected - resulting in your Minecraft worlds being displayed without having to 'Choose User' first.

The new cross-platform Minecraft Edition does not do this.
