After building a protection for the portal in the nether, i ran out of materials and returned to the overworld to get more blocks. When ireturned back through the portal to the nether, everything i had previously built had completely disappeared. It was as if the nether was resetting itself when i left. I tried it a couple of times with the same result. The portal had not moved position, just my blocks disappeared.
