Things we've noticed that we hope were not intentional.

      1. Beacons. The Beam from a beacon can only now be seen from 64 blocks
away then it disappears. Prior to the update I could see the Beam from
very far away. 354 Blocks away instead of the now useless 64. Something
called a Beacon is pointless when you can only see it a very short
      distance away.

Maps. I'm not even going to complain about the co-ordinates because I
hope you have heard that already, but a map without reference is not a
      map it's a picture.

4When maps are created they are assigned a number in the order that they
were created. Prior to the update when you create a new map that would
be Map#1 and you then create another map while positioned in the same
area the new map would still be Map #1.
Not until you move off of that map#1 grid area was another Map number
generated. The new way makes no sense! It has rendered the Map Item
      useless.
Also if you place a Map in a frame and then later build a large building
in the old version the Map updates automatically and the Map in the
frame shows the newly built building. Now the Maps do not show the
      change.

Rails. It may only be an issue with Xbox One but now when laying down
rail you must use the Left place trigger for every rail. Unlike before
and unlike every other item where you can place with the Left trigger
held and continue to place Rails rapidly by holding the Left trigger.
Now it is one at a time. Creating long rail systems takes forever! It's
      brutal.

Laying Stairs has exactly the same problem. Building large Roofs also
      now very hard to do.

Minecarts are much slower than before, especially on the regular
unpowered rail. When seated in a Minecart now when it turns the POV
stays in the same direction instead of turning with the Minecart. The
old version you faced forward and when it turns you are still facing
forward. I hope that the Programmer that was responsible for this
change is not also a Motorist because if I drove my car that way I would
be unable to obtain automobile insurance!

Also the Minecarts will no longer pass through Carpet Tiles. Whereas
this may have been an accidental behaviour originally it is important to
understand that a large part of Minecraft is creativity and imagination.
When gamers find little tricks like this it enhances the game playing
experience because their own imagination and ingenuity comes into play.

It seems like this new Better Together version has a theme throughout
some of the changes that is about restrictions and limitation of
control. It is a wonderful game that is very open to every users
imagination to play their own way.
Some of the changes are more like saying "No now you have to play this
game my way". It's a bit Spirit crushing.

I hope that you can look into theses things and I hope they can be
      addressed in the next update.

If this email has found itself in front of the wrong audience again
please let me know who I should be sending this to or please feel free
to forward it to the appropriate people.

Updates should add new functionality but not at the expense of taking
      away previous established behaviour.
