Having problems joining a friend on the mc windows 10 edition thats on xbox while im on a windows 10 computer

      Im on minecraft windows 10 ed., and I cant join a friend thats on mc windows 10 on xbox 1 and vice versa, it keeps saying "outdated client" yet we are both on the latest version. When I selected the 'affected versions' I didnt know which one was the latest version so I selected two.
