The Minecraft app version as reported by Android is in fact 1.4.1.0 but the form will only let me enter 1.4.0.5.
Problem: Graphical issues that could be summarised as "missing polygons".
Verified on:
- Nexus 5X running Android 8.1.0 (Screenshot_20180521-123052.png)
- Nexus 10 running Android 5.1.1 (Screenshot_2018-05-22-03-58-38.png)
World was originally survival, copied to a creative world and another device to take the screenshots.
These occur around a very tall structure (bedrock to well above cloud level), including a large mob farm. A smaller mob farm of similar design, without the tall structure and in a flat world, doesn't suffer from the glitches.
- Moving around the mob farm, sections of the walls become temporarily transparent with incompletely rendered interiors showing. It's notable that the transparent sections are 16 blocks high.
- Adding or removing (cobblestone and other) blocks has the usual animation but the scene doesn't change immediately. It might take a minute or might depend on the PoV changing.
- [possibly unrelated] Some flowing water in the farm ends up being turned (I'm not sure when, perhaps on chunk unload) into source blocks. This breaks the farm. I think was a one-off issue as, after removing all the water with sponges, water seems to flow even if it is not actually visible.
I can provide a .zip (~20M) of the world (62M) on request.
I tried turning off the various options in Video settings (fancy graphics in particular), but this made no difference.
This could be a duplicate of MCCE-7264.
