It appears that the game crashes in some cases when the game attempts to autosave. This happens fairly frequently at random times, most often when running. It has still crashed without that, however. Upon reload, the autosave has occurred just before the crash, and I can continue playing. The only other issue is that the horse I had disappeared because of one of the crashes.
