World lost player 2 data after playing and exiting from SMP LAN game. When user came back into world, their inventory was empty, as were levels and they were at spawn. This world has been played for a few months now with no similar issues. Not sure what caused it. Both client host and mobile player 2 are running identical hardware and same Minecraft Bedrock version.

On a related note, there should be some sort of manual way of exiting without saving. Unfortunately, the player accidentally hit quit and save after encountering this glitched load, so there was no way to reverse the issue. Since the client world file had not been backed up in the past day, reverting would have reversed a ton of exploration performed in The End.

Ideally, it would be handy if there were an incremental save player data folder to make reverting this type of glitch more easily. Since we don't play with cheats enabled, we had to go through the process of manually re-crafting a lot of enchanted items and lost a lot of inventory that were both in the player inventory as well as that within the player's Ender Chest.

Note that we updated both mobiles to 1.5.3, but since the glitched save took precedent over that last good save, the original content was lost. The primary host player data along with other player 3 data were unharmed.

Since the affected user was a Xbox account, all achievements were still intact. Hope these types of player reset glitches are eventually resolved. We don't want to have to enable cheats as a work-around as we want to earn achievements.
