Beginning with the last stable (non-beta) version I started getting consistent crashes on startup. I got the beta version and for some of the beta versions this became an intermittent crash on startup, with a "failed to load resources" message when it succeeded.

As of 1.7.0.7 beta it is again a consistent crash on startup. I get as far as the splash screen, and the program ends.
