The summary pretty much says it all. I can change the text in the en.lang file and save it, and it works for all the items that have "name=" in their code, but not for the records, which have "desc=" instead. It still refers to the C418 titles, which must be hard-coded? I saw this was a problem in earlier Java versions, but it was unclear from the issues if the code was in the file to edit like Bedrock and just didn't work, or it just wasn't in the file.
