I had a librarian in a pen a few hundred blocks away from a village before 1.11.0. After the update, he had no job. So I put a new bed and a lectern inside my house. He has changed to a Librarian, but he only wanders around outside the house, against the wall with the lectern. Sometimes he makes the "I'm mad" particle effects. Sometimes he demotes to unemployed. Sometimes he makes green "happy" particles. 

I sort of expected he'd go inside the house, where his bed and the lectern are. Instead he just seems mad it's on the other side of a wall.
