Nintendo Switch
The 1.11.0 update for the Nintendo Switch has caused a plethora of bugs affecting how multiple mobs conduct themselves.
Villagers
(When I say "old" here, I mean previously existing villagers from 1.10 and before, that have been converted to the new style of villagers. When finding a new chunk with new villagers and new housing types, restocking and etc. works fine)
-Old villagers simply refuse to restock. Giving them enough beds and workstations does not work. My librarians refuse to restock, even after sleeping, going to a lecturn, etc.
-Old villagers lose their old trades. This just plain f***ing sucks. Goodbye Sharpness V. Your new, "Master Level" villager now only has ONE book trade.
-May not be a bug - someone told me that villagers that were fully upgraded before, will not lose their jobs post-update? He may have been misinformed. My fully upgraded leatherworker, cartographer, and librarian all converted to farmers.
It's super awesome, I loved killing them. And so did my 8 year old cousin, who I discovered this morning killed his entire 50 village population because they wouldn't trade with him properly. The real life skills children learn from Minecraft is so inspiring!
-Old Villagers somehow find their way outside of boundaries that they didn't before this update. My village is surrounded entirely by glass walls that they cannot penetrate. Rain and lightning literally can not get into this village. And yet, villagers will be found outside the walls. Returning to your village, you might set upon 5 or more zombie villagers, kill them, and go inside to find your population is down drastically.
-Villagers are dumb as rocks. You guys tell me why this was coded into their logic. Beneath my village house is an enchanting station. It's about 15 layers deep. Yet still, these librarian villagers with their all seeing eyes, detect these bookcases. How do I know? I found 7 librarian villagers (Yes, seven) all staring straight down at one section of my village. I had no idea why, and did not for hours. They just stare there. Day after day (in minecraft, or hour after hour in real life time). I thought maybe they had some sort of chromosomal abnormality or mental issue, and was only an hour into building my new 'Daycare for Mentally Deficient Villagers" when I realized - wow, that area corresponds with the spot I have my enchanting station, deep underground! Just to make sure, I dug straight down where they were looking and yup, my enchanting station (with all its bookcases) were there. Two of the mentally deficient librarians fell in and now I have two idiot librarians deep underground just sighing that annoying village sigh to each-other for eternity. This isn't a classic 'bug' as much as it is an oversight in the code. Or perhaps, the functionality is intended and it's just something you have to deal with? Let me know guys.
Just want to thank the coders, devs, and playtesters for your hard work. Losing months of work on my village was ****ing epic. I love it, it's literally the best way for me to spend $30. I'm hoping next update someone from Mojang just drives up to my house, stabs me, and breaks my switch. At our current escalation of degrading updates, I expect this around 1.15 for bedrock.
ANIMAL MOBS
CATS - I had returned to my cute kitty station to find sections of these cats, which have all been tamed and forced into the sit position, to be moving around. Unintentionally hilarious, it was also annoying because toggling them from sit to move back to sit again doesn't fix it. They're stuck in a loop of moving around. They weren't following me. It was like they had their wild personalities or something. I accidentally had one escape the fence and it just ran off, it's butt scraping the ground the whole time. It's literally gone. It circled into a desert and now I have no idea where it is.
COWS, SHEEP - I had returned to my cute cow and sheep station to find all the cows huddled in one corner of the box area they are in. They were all moving into that corner. About 30 of them. The best way I could describe it, is that it was like when you hold a peice of wheat up and the animals follow you and huddle around you. It was like that except there was nobody holding wheat. They just all ran into the corner and are all moving there trying to get some invisible thing. The same thing happened in my sheep pen, except in a different corner.
PIGS - They literally just be gone. All of them. My pig pen had 20 pigs and a donkey for good measure. I updated and came to find one lonely ass donkey sitting there alone. No idea how to reproduce this. No idea if it's related to the new update or just a classic "**** you" bug that plagues Bedrock players.
WANDERING TRADER -
-No idea how, but the llamas got procced to spit at eachother. One of them killed the other one. Maybe they can be coded to not get violent at each other?
-The wandering trader appears like 50,000 times at my village in different areas. I also have no idea how this happened, but he has lost llamas multiple times. I have a pen now where I keep wandering trader llamas. I am up to 3. This is not a joke. I can get a screenshot if necessary. I don't know how this is happening.
-Overall, the wandering trader seems to be coded poorly. Not really a bug, just annoying. He appeared on a small island I was building. He promptly fell off it. Now in the corner of this island I have two llamas that stand in the corner, with both their leashes attached to the trader who is just hanging off the side in the water for dear life. Noice.
IRON GOLEMS
Pre-update, I had 6 iron golems I had boxed into a corner of the world. That way they would never bug me or hit me. For the amount of villagers I had, that made sense. With the new update, golems just don't stop spawning. I'm talking one, two, three, more golems. This hit a boiling point when I left my character in my house and went off to do stuff. When I came back, I went outside only to get blasted onto a roof. I look down to see SIX Iron Golems. I kill all six. Initially I thought the ones I had boxed off escaped, but I went to check and they were all still there. That means that my village had over TWELVE IRON GOLEMS at one point. I assure you, unless the coders changed the ratio of Iron Golem:Villagers, this is a bug. Because I do not have that many villagers in my village.
Will also add - Golems love, love, LOVE to spawn outside the village now. Not sure if this is a bug. I'm assuming for now that village parameters, or how the bounds of the village is calculated, has been changed with the new update.
OVERALL / TL;DR VERSION:
Plethora of issues with villagers. Staring at ground. Not restocking. Escaping inescapable glass cubes.
Plethora of issues with mobs. Cows and sheep all huddling together in corners, none moving or grazing about like normal.
Cats, even though being told to sit, move around like crazy. This is humorous to see, but very annoying. They do not follow you and will escape and leave if not boxed in.
Wandering Trader is a dumb dumb.
Iron Golems literally do not stop spawning
If this is too much for one tracker, mods, please let me know which bugs are relevant and I can write a new ticket with one singular issue per bug/ticket report.
