In Minecraft Java, clicking on the side of a scaffolding block places it on the top of the stack, and clicking on the top of the block places it on the side in the direction you are facing. This makes building scaffolding very easy and useful.
Also, scaffolding blocks are broken instantly.

This does not work in bedrock edition. Placing on the side just places it on the side, and since you can't sneak on scaffolding, this makes placing it while on the scaffolding difficult. Placing on the top places it on the top of the stack.
Also, it is not broken instantly like in Java.
