External skin pack not saving

      for a while ive had issues with skins installed from an external skin pack (mcpack in /skin_packs/ folder reverting to steve skin when entering the marketplace or restarting the game  Any skins revert when skins are present in this folder.

      Ive seen wierdness with marketplace skin packs and resource packs   as well as REALLY slow loading.
