When I play on my singleplayer world for long sessions, when I save the screen goes white and minecraft crashes.

How to reproduce: Play minecraft for about an hour, with active playing and placing blocks/breeding animals, and then open the pause menu and click "save and quit." the game will freeze up, the window will turn white, and the game will close. The game still saves, but sometimes things like the inventory will be backtracked to the last autosave. Autosaving does not crash the game.

How to prevent: I have not found a way to prevent this.
