I was trying to escape from the nether and was so relieved when I finally got to the portal safely, but once I loaded back to the overworld, a piglin immediately killed me as I was at low health (that's another issue altogether tho I think that may have been patched as it wasnt a zombie piglin) and when I went back to grab my stuff, it wasnt on either side of the portal, or buried beneath it. (Keep in mind I died while in the portal) so I also checked spawn cuz why not and my stuff was nowhere to be found.
