Sometimes, when I die and click respawn, it gets stuck on the reddish "generating world" page. This has happened to me in both the Nether and Overworld. For the nether one, I could see my bed, but for the overworld, I just stayed where I died (This is a world without a bed), and didn't see the world spawn
