There is a chunk loading error that has been happening for a long time now. Apparently as new chunks load in, there is a likely chance that chunks will not properly load in. This results in any buttons or interactions from happening which will cause the player to force quit their game.  Upon restarting the game, you will lose any recent items that you have collected resulting in a loss in progress.
