      Summary:
The servers tab is showing in the BETA, allowing users to attempt to connect to Featured Servers or BDS instances, neither of which support BETA builds. Attempting to join any Featured Servers results in the game sitting on "Connecting to external server". Attempting to join BDS results in the game soft locking on "Loading Resources".

      Steps to reproduce...

      1. Load 1.16.0.66
      2. Click Play
      3. Click "Servers" tab
      4. Note that servers are listed and available to join
      5. Attempt to join a featured server
      6. Note that the game sits on "Connecting to external server"

      What I expected to happen:
Servers should not be available on the BETA (at least until BDS is released for BETA's) or should present the player with an error when they try to join one that is running the release version.

      What actually happened:
Connecting to BDS the game soft locks on "Loading Resources" with no feedback for the user.
Connecting to a Featured Server causes it to sit on connecting and eventually fail with "Unable to connect to world".

For those coming here from a duplicated report or search please note, per the BETA release notes (including the 1.16.0.66 release) servers and realms are not available while on the BETA. To play on a Featured Server please switch back to the release version of Minecraft.

It would appear that the availability to attempt to connect to Featured Servers on the BETA is a bug or was included to check out the new layout of the servers page.
