After loading a world from a dedicated server, the UI freezes and eventually the game crashes to the iOS homepage

What i've tried:

• log out/ log in
• uninstall/re-install the game
• join a world from one of the public lists --> this worked
• asked other people to try --> different iPad, same server, different account also experiences the same freeze to crash
