pressing the windows button, or interacting with the computer in any way which is not directly the app causes the application and only the application to flicker. the more that the windows button is pressed the more frequent the flickering becomes. furthermore if a notification comes up in windows and the application is paused to dismiss it, the flickering also begins then. the flickering can also begin if any clicking happens in menus while something is loading, though this is harder to consistently reproduce. everything else is reproduce-able here.

attached is a video file taken from the game bar windows in built recording thing, which only records the application that is being used, so i can rule out it being an issue with the computer screen. finally while the windows menu is up the flickering only appears behind it and not on top of it, which could have indicated some other screen based issue when minecraft is loaded.

this issue has not be resolved by:

• restarting the application
• restarting the computer
• reinstalling the application
