The fox textures aren't the correct texture. The foxes are taking the texture of different in-game things. Such as one of lots of different blocks and others of mobs. A few of the mobs that the fox texture looks like are creepers, cows, sheep, wolves, and pandas. Below are just a few of the textures I got to get in a screenshot.
