I placed many torches in a 6 spaced area per torch, all in a huge area to prevent hostile mob spawning in front of my base and around my area, but i went mining, noticed a few torches were missing in the mine, once i got back to my base, 75% of my torches on the areas i placed in the field were gone. (the ones on the sides are the 25% left)
