I put my bed on the ground, just like putting any blocks normally, then I go away, I guess it is far enough for the chunk which the bed belongs to to be unloaded. And when I come back the bed get invisible. I have met twice of such case, once was the beds I prepared for villagers, the other one was my own bed. When the bed gets invisible, it looks like this
