I'm playing on another person's realm, trying to locate an ocean monument and I noticed the chunks ahead of me are not loading. I knew not to enter them so I backtracked to a nearby island, got out of my boat and attempted to place a bed. The game showed the black outline of something having been placed there but there was nothing. Other people on the realm started having lagg issues and I suddenly disconnected. On returning I find myself stuck in unloaded chunks. My boat is visible in the distance, much further away than it should be, but all mobs and I are frozen. Remaining in the realm causes severe lagg for everyone else and eventually I am disconnected.
In an attempt to fix the issue I had a friend set up a repeating command to TP me home as soon as I logged in. When it failed, I left and asked him to carefully go to my coordinates hoping that if he was able to load the area I would be able to come back in. He said he had no issues getting there and even saw my boat. As I began to log in he told me that he couldn't enter the boat though. So I aborted logging in and told him to start heading back the way he came. Unfortunately, he became trapped too.
Now neither of us can do anything in the realm even when it does let us on, which most times it loads forever then disconnects. Both he and I were using Xbox One at the time. The owner uses Switch. I have tried logging in with a computer and hitting F3 and A but it did nothing for me. Is there anything that can be done to free us?
