1 BLOCK in Nether is no longer 8 blocks in real world.   We are 6000 blocks away from home, that should be approx. 750 blocks in nether, instead it is 2000 ! blocks in nether to portal.  
That comes out to a 1 to 3 ratio NOT a 1 to 8 ratio.   What is the point of going into nether to create portals if you are only going 3 blocks in real world ?

Please fix ASAP.
