Affecting Minecraft on my Nintendo Switch
1. This problem can be worked around, but may be related to the primary problem (2) below.
Every time I open the game, it asks if I want to "Sign in with a Microsoft Account". Clicking this, it then asks if I want to "Save purchases to a Microsoft Account". I click save, and usually nothing happens and I need to close and re-open the Minecraft from the Switch homescreen. Then, I go through all this again, and I must log in remotely on a separate device using https://aka.ms/remoteconnect.
2. My minecoins have been spent / are gone, but my Realm is still expiring in 2 days time.
"Your purchase succeeded, but we couldn't create your Realm right now. We will create your Realm as soon as possible. Check back later on this device"
I have been getting this message for the past 2 days.
When I tried to start the Realms free trial, it denied me saying that I didn't have enough minecoins in my account. I then added some to start the "free trial", and it deducted minecoins from my account even though it said that it should be free. Then, I tried to extend my Realm subscription so that I could keep using my Realm, and I am stuck in this limbo state where I cannot continue.
Dec 12
a) Attempted free trial, rejected
b) Purchased 1020 minecoins on account
c) Attempted free trial again, rejected again for insufficient minecoins
d) Purchased another 1020 minecoins on account
e) Attempted free trial a third time, realm was created, minecoins balance went to zero
Jan 6
a) Purchased 8800 minecoins on account
b) Attempted to extend realm subscription, minecoins balance went to 4810, realm subscription failed
Jan 12
Realm expired, have been unable to play on it since
So, in summary, I have spent 6030 minecoins and have only received the "free trial".
