I used Hamachi to try to open a LAN game with some friends.  After this failed, I tried to rejoin a different friend's Realm game without Hamachi.  Prior to installing Hamachi, everything worked great, no problems whatsoever.  After Hamachi, I keep disconnecting because of internal exception: java.net.socketexception: connection reset.  Now, before anyone says this issue has already been reported, please know that I have tried everything ranging from a network reset, to DNS flush, to clean installation of Java and Minecraft.  I've also tried connecting to the realm with other VPNs such as OpenVPN and ProtoVPN, and even tried factory resetting my modem/router.  All of these saw mild success for a short time, or no success at all, until inevitably the disconnect happened once again.  Please keep in mind that before I ever used a VPN service, Realms was working and I never experienced a disconnect ever.  My point is that I'm not reporting a VPN issue, but rather a mishandling of IP addresses by the Realms server probably due to correlating it with saved player data.  Once this data is overwritten and the stack reprioritized and saved, packets start dropping due to a mismatch in sockets from the server-client data.  To me, this indicates a bug with the server handling,  To further test this theory, I will try connecting to other Minecraft Realms after another network reset and without the use of a VPN.  I have already tried connecting to other servers such as Brawl.com without a VPN and experienced no issues.  For the Realm in question, we are going to back up the world save file and create a new world slot to reload the save file; however, if I am correct, the player data will probably break the stack priority again and still cause disconnects to occur on my client.
