This is my first of three reports on problems with the feedback site. The other two are much more basic things.
In the last week, I've tried to submit feedback on the new game drop four different times. My feedback has been taken down by a bot four different times, (mostly) without ever breaking a guideline:
-My posts were all substantially different from each other, excepting the third and fourth (the first was about the cow model, the second was about animals in deserts, the third was about accuracy, and the fourth was an edit of the third to be more concise and try and get rid of whatever the bot was flagging).
-I only made a new post after I noticed that my old one was taken down. I did not spam the site and I wasn't blocked from posting.
-None of them had lists of ideas (just different points about the same idea), personal advertising, duplicated someone else's post, or used ideas on the previously rejected page.
Why do I think a bot was taking these down? My second post had a comment on it (from someone else). I responded to that comment in a constructive way and my entire post was taken down within a minute. All of my posts were taken down with a remarkably quick turnaround except for that one. I have also never received an e-mail to my account explaining why my post was removed (but I did get an automated email saying that someone else had commented on my post). The site page says you're supposed to get an email explaining why a post was removed.
After my second post was taken down, I assumed that the bot was flagging my issues whenever I commented on my own file. This is not listed on the site in the guidelines as something you shouldn't do, but nonetheless I didn't do that with my third and fourth issues. They were still taken down. Here are my guesses as to what the bot didn't like:
Post 1: commented on your own post and referenced an outside source (Minecraft's official YouTube channel)
Post 2: commented on your own post (particularly because it was only taken down after I replied to the other guy)
Post 3: Had "petition" in the title (one of the most voted for feedback posts has petition in the title and clearly the bot didn't take it down) and referenced an outside source (same thing on Minecraft's YouTube channel but its not like I gave a link or anything, I just said "Minecraft's channel"). Also might've detected my multiple points in my argument as a list of ideas (again, the post was only one idea about animal realism)
Post 4: I checked and checked again for this one to make sure the bot wouldn't flag it. All I can think of was that it was too similar to my other posts (the ones which were taken down and presumably not saved in the system) or that it took this post down simply because all my others had been taken down.
I've commented on other people's posts, but nobody has posted something like what I was saying and I've given up on posting on the feedback site since it doesn't like anything I say and won't give me an explanation. Yes, I've checked my spam folder. There's nothing there. I really hope this is resolved quickly so I can actually share my opinions. Otherwise, I'll have to write a letter by hand and get a lot of postage to send it all the way to Sweden, where it will most likely never be read (or at least it won't be read in time to reflect on the game drop).
