The bug
Translucent blocks such as slime blocks, honey blocks, ice, stained glass and tinted glass which are moved by pistons remain visible even at distances that cause other parts of the world such as blocks, entities and non-translucent blocks being moved by pistons to appear foggy.
How to reproduce
- Create a setup which results in sticky pistons moving periodically
- Have a translucent block be moved by that sticky piston continually
- Set the render distance to a sufficiently low value
- Travel at a distance that results in the setup being partially occluded by fog
Expected results
Everything in the setup would appear foggy.
Actual results
The translucent blocks flash into view very clearly when being moved.
